EnigmaIS — Licensing

This page explains the launch licensing policy. It is a summary, not the full software licence agreement. Product-specific terms will accompany the first software distributions. Third-party components remain governed by their own licences.

Free for genuine noncommercial use within product restrictions. Every commercial use requires a paid licence. Source modifications and derivative versions are prohibited under both free and paid terms.

Source available for inspection
You may read the supplied EnigmaIS source. You may not modify it or create derivative versions, whether your use is free or paid. Normal settings, supported APIs, and deployment configuration remain permitted.

NONCOMMERCIAL USE
For personal projects, home labs, and genuinely noncommercial education or evaluation, subject to the product restrictions below.

COMMERCIAL USE
Business use is paid regardless of size or capacity. Contact us to agree the product, deployment, and commercial terms.

myOwnCA
NONCOMMERCIAL USE
10 active certificate identities. Genuine renewals, including key rotation, keep the same identity slot. Changing an identity creates a new lineage; imported external certificates do not count.
Commercial terms
Every commercial use requires a paid licence. Installation-bound licences increase certificate capacity and verify offline. Renewal, revocation, CRL, OCSP, export, monitoring, audit, and recovery are not gated by paid capacity.

myOwnMDM
NONCOMMERCIAL USE
Early-access eligibility, device limits, and noncommercial evaluation terms are agreed individually. Contact EnigmaIS before arranging access.
Commercial terms
Every commercial deployment, including an early-access pilot for business use, requires paid terms agreed with EnigmaIS. General-availability terms will be supplied with the software.

myOwnDN
NONCOMMERCIAL USE
Genuine noncommercial use has no enforced domain cap. Optional TLS configuration profile checks are a commercial-use feature and are excluded from free noncommercial use.
Commercial terms
Every commercial use requires a paid licence, even for one domain. Signed licence keys verify offline and record licensure; there is no technical feature gate.

Can my company use the free allowance?
No. The free allowance applies to genuine noncommercial use. Commercial use requires a paid licence even below the certificate limit or for a single domain. Evaluation for a commercial deployment is commercial use.

Can I change the source if I buy a licence?
No. Paid licensing permits commercial use under the agreed terms; it does not grant permission to modify EnigmaIS source code or create derivative versions.

Can I configure and integrate the software?
Yes. Normal settings, supported APIs, and deployment configuration remain permitted. They do not grant permission to modify the application source.

Does offline verification mean everything runs offline?
Licence checks are verified offline. myOwnCA supports an offline root, while myOwnDN needs outbound access for monitoring. Notification channels and configured cloud services need their own connections.
